Go watch Klaus on Netflix
Made by the creator of Despicable Me, Sergio Pablos, Klaus is a beautiful Christmas story that feels timeless and will no doubt become a classic.
I loved this movie! For one, the hand drawn animation is just gorgeous and hearkens back to the glory days of Disney animations. Secondly, it is a great, heartwarming story about a terrible postman who is posted to a frozen town in the North where he works together with a hermit toy maker to create the legend of Santa Klaus. At first it comes across a little awkward as there is a unique style to the characters and world that I don’t know I’ve ever seen before. However, you can’t stop watching. it’s engaging. Watching the main character Jesper arrive in this horribly unfriendly town feels like justice for his terrible attitude and lack of postal skills but then watching him turn not only himself but the entire town around is truly a wonderful tale.
I loved seeing how all the Santa tropes appear almost by accident like in one part when their carriage full of deliveries is being chased by the villains and the wheels break off turning the carriage in to a giant sleigh. Then the legend goes further when during the chase they plummet down a steep hill out of control and get launched in to the air over some of the town and low and behold a young boy is looking out his window and sees a sleigh full of toys flying through the air.
This movie has a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Watch this movie. I am certain you will enjoy it.
