Batman the Dark Knight

Batman the Dark Knight

tattoo design by comic artist Matt Campbell.

I was trying to capture a moment
rather than a pose.

I came across this Batman drawing while cleaning the art studio and preparing for some interior design changes. I was commissioned to do this at one of the Colorado comic con conventions for someone who said it was going to be a tattoo. It’s not the first time and certainly wasn’t the last time my art has ended up as a tattoo. Sadly, I don’t know how that story ends as I don’t recall ever getting to see the tattoo. I had a lot of fun drawing it though and I hope the tat came out good.

Along with it I found this sketch of Bruce that I had done in preparation for the tattoo drawing. Sharing this post to your fav social media will help more people see the art and stories being told here at Actionline Studios.
